Original Water Works
The Pump House is located in one of Canada’s oldest original water works – where steam powered pumps provided the first running water to Kingston residents from 1850. Only six similar preserved water pumping plants remain in North America.
The Museum is located in downtown Kingston at 23 Ontario Street, right on Lake Ontario, just a few minutes walk from historic City Hall.
The Museum opens May 20 for the 2017 season with portions still under construction. A full reopening celebration is scheduled for Fall 2017.
